Ship Design Group (SDG) is pleased to announce a new Contract for the Design of a Marpol vessel for the Port of Constanta Authority.

The ship is a self-propelled coastal vessel intended for collection and transportation to shore of liquid residues which arise from normal ship operation, such as:

– Oil and oil derived wastes under the scope of Marpol 73/78 Annex-I;
– Wastewater/sewage under the scope of Marpol 73/78 Annex-IV.

The close cooperation with the Client, Navrom Shipyard and Bureau Veritas office in Romania made us succeed in obtaining the best balance between vessel capabilities, ease in construction and operation as well as low CapEx.

The project is now in the latest stages of approval with BV and has the following main characteristics:

Length: approx 44.5 m;
Breadth: approx 8.8 m;
Cargo capacity: over 500 m³;
Accommodation for 6 crew.
